The HR summit 2019 organised by AGRATA the Human Resource Society of Shri Ram College of Commerce. The event took place on 19th October 2019 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. This year’s theme was “Reimaging the Future of HR”.

The day began with the mood-brightening address by Dr Amit Sachdeva alumnus SRCC   drawing nuances from A. P. J Abdul Kalam Azad’s ISRO mission 1979. Following which, the day saw the keynotes speakers Mr Yuvaraj Shrivastava (Group CHRO, MakeMyTrip), Mr Vikas Khokha (Director HR, Zimmer Biomet India), Ms Kavya Saxena (Head Brand Experience, VAJOR)  delivering enlightening talks one after the other.

Their insight based prediction of Future of HR was not only gripping but thought-provoking.  HR policies adapting changing scenario, Companies to focus on the humane aspect of people Management, Role of HR in hiring, retention, productivity and the calculation of Revenue per Employee. Organisations to increase depth, expand to new markets to align with the scenario of shrinking profit margins and subsidies.

Kavya Saxena’s, ideas and personal experiences about the importance of a social presence and it’s growing used by recruitment professionals to measure and analyse a candidate’s profile hinted that job seekers should work towards creating positively strong presence on social networking platforms.

Post lunch, first-panel discussion “Innovative HR: Bridging Gap between Gen X and Gen Z” was the highlight for the day all credit to the participants and the celebrated panel comprising of representatives from Gen X, Gen Z as well as Millenials namely

energized the session with their humorous, practical and empathetic approach.Management students at SRCC participated in full. Gen Z. Sahil Nair, Senior Associate Director, KPMG with his revolutionary views about Millenials and Gen Z and Dr Amit Sachdeva, Alumnus SRCC kept the stage alive with their humour and energy.

The closing discussion of the day, “Impact of Technology on People Management”  was no less enriching and exciting,  having some well-groomed speakers like.
